An exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing, high calibre modelling team, is open with our Financial Services client's European Team. They are currently looking for an ambitious data scientist / Modelling Analyst who is passionate about building, maintaining, and monitoring statistical models that support their business partners. As part of the team, you will be able to develop innovative solutions, and drive conversations with senior stakeholders.

About the role
You will be responsible for using both empirical and statistical methods to provide solutions to the business. The successful candidate will be passionate about finding data patterns that predict customer behaviours, building monitoring packs that indicate the performance of the models and documenting their results.

As part of the Decision Science team, you will act as a role model and provide technical guidance about programming and modelling to other areas in the business. You will be working closely with colleagues across operations, data management, and IT. Therefore, it will be required to adapt your communication style according to stakeholders.
About you
??Experience of applying data science techniques within a commercial environment, ideally in credit risk, such as regression models, tree-based algorithms, cluster algorithms and NLP.
??Curious to uncover trends and patterns that can be used to extract valuable insights.
??Ability to manipulate and extract insights from large volumes of data in SQL.
??Strong skills and experience in either SAS, R, Python.
??Great communicator who is able to tailor the message according to the audience.
??Happy to work in a team environment and proactive in knowledge sharing.
??Post-graduate qualifications in Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science or a related discipline.
??More than 2 years of work experience.
??Additional European language skills, especially French or Spanish are desirable.
