Production Manager - Manufacturing (Wood Paneling Products - All candidates considered)

Duties & Responsibilities - Production Manager - Manufacturing
Working closely with 2 Directors, your main responsibility is to run the production process by leading and managing the operational team of 34 whilst overseeing H&S???..please see other duties below.
* Manage the daily running of production including staffing (Permanent & stable workforce)
* Pre-planning of required labour, materials, equipment and potential outcomes
* Working with CNC, Routers, Forming, Packing Edge banding machinery etc
* Implement LEAN manufacturing processes & (knowledge of Kaizen an advantage)
* Work with all employees to achieve incremental improvements & make recommendations
* Manage the team to achieve internal promotions and enhance efficiencies
* Ability to modernise, reduce waste and increase production efficiencies.
* Analyse schedules of work to achieve targets and eliminate potential delays
* Adopt the shared company vision and implement strategy when required
* Heavy emphasis on all H&S requirements to create a safe working environment
* Liaise with all internal departments to create a seamless production operation
* Attend weekly managers meetings to discuss and action ongoing findings
* Approximately 4000 parts produced p/w with workable capacity for growth
* The industry is classed as furniture, however, all candidate backgrounds will be considered
* Immerse yourself with the engineers & machinery to gain technical understanding
* Show interest in personal development and want progression & promotion
Skills & Requirements - Production Manager - Manufacturing
* Workable & practical knowledge of LEAN manufacturing
* Excellent person-management skills of medium sized teams
* Health & safety expertise
* Ability to analyse and identify a route course of a problem & then action
* Work autonomously at times and recommend new strategies & suggestions
* Some experience of recruiting and dealing with recruitment agencies.
* Excellent communicator, logical, ambitious and wants career progression
* Become part of the business and demonstrate shared passion
