Role - Electrical Shift Engineer
*Location - West London
*Salary - GBP38,000 Per Annum + GBP4000 Shift Allowance
*Shift Pattern - 4on 4off - 12hr Shifts - 7:00am-7:00pm & 7:00pm-7:00am.
My client is well respected maintenance provider and currently recruiting for an Electrical Shift Engineer to be based on a large static site in West London.
Key Responsibilities:
*Responsibility of completion of works orders within their Service Level Agreements.
*Maintain plant rooms in a clean, tidy and safe condition.
*Provide rapid and effective response to customer and helpdesk requirements.
*Review RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) and sub-contractor competencies before work permits are authorised.
*Escalate any issue that would affect the availability, health and safety and security of the site.
*Adhere to all current company policies and procedures and to take an active approach in continuous improvement of these procedures.
*Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements.
*Carry out daily checks of plant rooms and equipment.
*Attend training scheduled by the Management Team (E-Learning and role/site specific courses)
*Provide regular hazard reporting for the site on a weekly basis.
*Responsible for maintaining electrical installations, repairs and maintenance to M&E Plant and Building Fabric
*Completing Planned Maintenance in line with SFG20 and HTM Guidelines.
*Complete proactive inspections, remedial repairs and installations.
*To support in providing cost information for chargeable electrical works on site
*To provide updates to the Helpdesk Co-ordinator on a regular basis to ensure the CAFM System is up to date.
*To attend and complete reactive electrical works within their Service Level Agreements for Attendance, Response and Completion.
Person Specification/Requirements.
*Experience of working within an NHS or Healthcare environment would be advantageous.
*Demonstrable experience within a similar role
*Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people of all levels of seniority.
*Minimum qualifications; NVQ Level 2/3 in Electrical Installation and 17th Edition.
*Served a full Technical Apprenticeship and hold a technical qualification such as Electrical Engineering (C&G, HNC, ONC, etc.)
*Qualifications related to HV and/or LV AP would be advantageous.
*Demonstrate thorough knowledge of all building services, e.g. BMS
*Demonstrate previous experience in fault finding with various systems (Mechanical & Electrical)
*Ability to fault find on both Mechanical and Electrical Plant and Equipment.
*Diligent and pro-active.
*Ability to prioritise and act on own initiative.
*Excellent organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
*A flexible approach to work with a willingness to travel would be essential.
