Manufacturing Operations Manager
Igloo have a fantastic permanent job opportunity for an Operations Manager to join one of our clients based onsite with one of the UKs leading vehicle manufacturing companies.
A permanent vacancy with excellent benefits
Shift pattern: Rotational shift pattern every 2 weeks. 6am- 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm -6am
Salary: GBP40k + shift premiums
Holidays: 24 + Bank holidays

The Role:
To work onsite at a Vehicle manufactures and to oversee a shift of multi skilled operatives.
* To manage and supervise staff ensuring maximum efficiency and flexibility to respond to all operational needs.
* To support the site manager with managing relationships daily
* To brief and update staff to ensure customer SLAs are adhered to
* To plan and manage physical layout of the warehouse and surrounding operational areas to ensure maximum efficiency.
* To lead the operations team, to ensure customer material volumes and forecasts are understood and actioned in line with customer requirements
* To support the site manager with management of high-profile operational issues
* To manage customer stock, ensuring daily stock checks are adhered to daily
* To set out contingency plans to ensure the smooth running of the operation on shift
* Lead planning of continuous improvement on a regular and planned basis
* To ensure all new procedures that are formally approved is briefed to the relevant staff

What kind of person are we looking for:
* A proven Production or Manufacturing Manager, with Man Management experience
* Will be able to coach and support the development of the team
* Will be able to lead an operations team to achieve set targets
* Will be able to establish and maintain a good teamwork environment
* To have a proven record of managing working relationships between clients & suppliers
