We require a Portfolio Schedule & Planning Manager to cover an existing workload within Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC), based out of HQ Culham, Oxfordshire.

This is a permanent position.

Role Purpose:

  • The Portfolio Schedule & Planning Manager role will build and manage the CNC's Integrated Portfolio Plan acting as the liaison between the Portfolio Delivery Office and the projects and programmes within the Portfolio.
  • This role will be a forward looking role to ensure that the Integrated Portfolio Plan represents; the accurate of the status of the portfolio, the current resource constraints of the organisation, the key interdependencies within and external to Portfolio and that these are captured and understood by the Portfolio, SRO, Executive and wider CNC.

Skills required to be successful in the role:

  • Full membership of appropriate professional body (i.e. APM - Association for Project Management).
  • Extensive knowledge of project management methodologies.
  • Extensive knowledge and demonstrable capability in planning/scheduling at Programme & Portfolio level.
  • Strong ability to communicate at all levels, able to persuade and influence key internal and external stakeholders within a complex change management environment.
  • Advanced interpersonal skills and well-developed ability to influence others to further the objectives of the organisation
  • Excellent communications skills, with the ability to tailor communications to the appropriate audience.
  • Demonstrable experience of operating at a senior level within a Programme or Portfolio function
  • Required to work with discretion, confidentiality and personal integrity.

This role offers a competitive salary of GBP36,063 to GBP44,079 with a GBP1,500 South East Allowance and generous benefits package.
