Location: Uckfield

Salary: GBP18k-GBP20k per annum depending on experience

Full time

Our client is looking to recruit a HR Assistant to assist the HR Manager in providing a comprehensive and efficient HR service in line with HR policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Act as the first point of contact for internal and external queries.
Input onto and maintain the HR and Training database (currently IRIS HR)
Communicate with employment agencies regarding current vacancies/temporary cover requirements, liaising with HoD/Recruiting Manager to arrange interviews.
Type standard letters, eg, regret before interview, regret after interview, interview confirmations, work experience, offer and induction letters.
Production of Offer and Induction Packs, co-ordinating induction programmes when appropriate.
Book interviews and rooms with relevant personnel
Assist with appraisals, training request forms, course evaluation forms and other HR related documents
Maintain diary to ensure probationary review forms/appraisal forms are sent out on time.
Circulate joining instructions as required.
Assist with the administration for Graduate Training Contract recruitment.
Maintenance of all personnel files ensuring compliance with audit requirements.
Produce monthly management reports - sickness/turnover/Voicepath usage and ad hoc reports as required.
Carry out all administration in relation to sickness absence, holidays - ie collation of forms, input onto database.
Training course administration - booking courses, updating database and collating feedback forms/paperwork.
Maintain HR content on the firm's website and intranet

Excellent administration skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels
Computer literate with a good knowledge of databases
Secretarial/typing skills
Sensitive and discreet, able to keep information confidential
Strong interpersonal skills
Ability to build relationships with all stakeholders
Team player
Well organised

Experience and Education

Ideally Educated to 'A' level standard and with a minimum of Maths and English GCSE
Ideally 1-2 years experience within a HR, Recruitment or Training function
Knowledge of HR practice and employment legislation
Experience of HR/Training software
Studying for or prepared to study for CPP (Certificate of Personnel Practice) or CIPD Level 3/5.
