Machine Operator - GBP21,450 + Benefits + Permanent Role + 7.30am - 4.30pm (Mon-Fri) + Growing Company!
The Company
Our client is a market leading manufacturer based in Wigan. They are growing business with a great family/team environment!
They are urgently looking for a Machine Operator to join in their production team.
The Role
Working Monday to Friday 7.30am - 4.30pm at the Wigan site. The Machine Operator role involves working within a team environment to meeting production deadlines.
Main duties include:-
* Set up machinery for operation
* Start machinery and adjust machinery when necessary to improve performance
* Operate machinery and equipment according to instructions
* Troubleshoot issues and perform maintenance as and when required
* Perform quality control, follow reporting, recordkeeping procedures and report problems to supervisor
* Comply with all safety and health regulations
* Clean machinery and maintain cleanliness in working area
* Report to engineering manager and/or other managers
* It's a small team so responsibilities are not limited with above.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal Machine Operator will have an interest in mechanics/engines/electronics (experience is not essential). Ideally the Machine Operator will have the following skills/experience:
* Must be detail-oriented
* Analytical and numerical skills: ability to perform mathematical calculations (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in different units of measurement
* Ability to follow written and oral instructions
* Ability to work in a team
* Ability to lift heavy equipment and to stand or walk for long periods of time
