TeacherActive are looking for TA / Teaching Assistant in Taunton to have the opportunity to work in a well-established and popular specialist school supporting children aged 5 to 18 years old with MLD, ASC, PMLD, SpLD and some complex behavioural needs.
We are looking for TA / Teaching Assistant to cover a full-time placement supporting children and young adults with their education. You will gain an abundance of experience to add to your profile and keep everyday exciting while enriching the lives of disadvantaged young people. The school is part of a wider trust and is dedicated to the development of their staff. Although initially on a half-termly basis, this role does have the potential to lead to a long-term role providing all goes well in the first few weeks.
The ideal TA / Teaching Assistant should have the following:
Level 2 or 3 qualified and/or a minimum of 6 months' experience in an educational establishment
A calm, patient and caring persona
Good communication skills
A good understanding of child protection and safeguarding guidelines
Experience in working with supporting students in their education on a 1:1 and a small group basis
All our staff are paid on a PAYE basis, so you can rest assured that you're paying the right level of Tax and National Insurance.
