Job Title: Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Location: Gateshead
Daily Rate: GBP70 - GBP90
Start Date: September 2021
GSL Education is actively looking for Higher Level Teaching Assistants who have experience working with young people who have SEMH needs and experience in Maths and English in one of our client Secondary schools, from September 2021.
The school setting is based in Gateshead and is easy to access by Car and Public transport. Current vacancies are looking for candidates to work full-time (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Monday to Friday) who will able to support in English and Maths lessons and lead own sessions with small groups.
For this position, successful candidates will be working on a 1:1 basis out in the community or the Secondary school sites.
Successful candidates will have experience working with young people or adults who have worked closely with the following needs or behaviours:
Physical Disabilities - that limit them in undertaking everyday tasks and often restrict mobility, risk to body shape
Sensory Impairments
Sensory processing difficulties
Complex health needs (e.g Epilepsy, respiratory problems, dysphagia and eating/drinking problems)
'Coping behaviours' (to their communication or other difficulties)
Mental Health Difficulties
