Firmware Test Engineer - Coventry - GBP45,000k + Excellent Benefits + Bonus + Remote working
Overview:
An excellent opportunity has arisen with a market leading Home Safety Product provider for a Firmware Test Engineer. You will be working within the Firmware and Product team to assist with the development of products, ensure the compliance of the products firmware and to reduce the validation through robust testing.

Role & Responsibilities:
• Full ownership of the Firmware test process including test plans and test cases, from creation to delivery.
• Writing and disseminating test specifications and test cases in line with the functional requirements specification (FRS) to ensure efficient and robust embedded test coverage
• Validating test cases and streamlining the test process through automation
• Preparing test reports for management and contributing to peer reviews
• Collaborating with the System Validation team to increase understanding and reduce validation cycle iterations thereby assisting to ensure the timely delivery of projects to the agreed timescales.
• Working with colleagues to ensure the department maintains appropriate levels of quality in their work and processes in accordance with the company's strategic goal of Best Ever Quality
Essential Skills & Experience:
• Extensive knowledge of engineering and testing procedures.
• Working knowledge of software programming languages (C and C++, Python or similar)
• Familiarity with testing tools such as TestPlant, Labview, Vector Software or similar.
• Working understanding of electronics, datasheets, and device capabilities
• At least 5 years' experience as a test engineer
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to project manage.
• High-level technical writing skills.
Desirable:
• Experience of working on long life battery powered products.
• Experience of working on safety critical products in regulated environment
• Experience of working on projects utilising Ultrasonic Products and technologies
• Experience of external certification processes
• Experience of working within LCM software, ideally ARAS

•GBP35,000-GBP45,000k basic salary
