Estate Maintenance Operative - Chelmsford
Service Care Construction are currently recruiting on behalf of a local housing association based in Chelmsford who require an estate maintenance operative to join their team on a temporary basis. Previous experience within a similar role and a Full UK Driving License is essential.
This is a full time position working 8am - 4pm Monday to Friday with a total of 37 hours per week. The main duties are as follows:
* Responsible for removing general litter and waste from communal buildings and grounds throughout our stock, reducing skip costs and improving the living conditions for our customers as well as assisting with our responsibility for waste presentation;
* Dispose of items appropriately in line with our procedures, maintaining accurate logs to ensure compliance with waste disposal legislation;
* Respond to incidents of fly tipping, unauthorised bulk waste and bin store misuse, removing items appropriately and safely to assist with the good housekeeping on our estates maintaining high standards for our customers;
* Ensure all communal refuse areas and stores are maintained to a standard acceptable for local authority collection (sheltered and general needs).
* Maintain accurate record keeping systems for all tests carried out to assist with compliance requirements;
* Report repairs, or faults identified whilst on site to help maintain or stock to a good order;
* Report any communal area misuse to the relevant Districts Team;
* Undertake any other responsibilities relevant to this post, as directed by your line manager.
