We have big ambitions for growth and as a result of this we are looking for a conscientious Operations Manager to join our team! In return you will receive a competitive salary of GBP36,000 OTE plus excellent benefits.
Here at Breezemount, we are market leaders in the 2-person home delivery service. We work with international brands such as IKEA, and our aim of "getting it right first time, every time", underpins everything we do!
As our Operations Manager you will be responsible for:
- Managing all daily warehousing and home delivery activities
- Completing resource planning for all operational activities on a daily basis
- Producing weekly 'working rotas' to ensure sufficient resources are in place for the working week
- Managing operational costs through the efficient use and planning of people and vehicles
- Completing site task lists through line management of the supervisory and administrative teams
- Complying with current transport legislation and company standards
- Complying with all legislative and company Health & Safety requirements
- Completing reports in a timely and accurate manner
- The timely and accurate completion and investigation of the Tolerance Report
- Adhering to company security requirements including keyholder duties
- Deputising in the absence of the General Manager
You will have accountability for the site's performance over a 7-day a week operation, including all aspects of warehousing and transport, ensuring that customer services levels are met or exceeded. Managing costs effectively, you will maximise profitability, manage resources and people effectively, whilst consistently analysing the current processes and procedures and pushing for continuous improvements.
The usual working pattern for this role is 40 hours a week over a 5 from 7 shift pattern on a rota, including weekends and bank holidays, so flexibility is a key requirement.

- Effective people leader managing site employees across multiple shift patterns;
- Commercial awareness
- Working within budgets and targets
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced customer service orientated environment.
- Excellent communication skills
- Critical thinking, able to orchestrate logical solutions to operational issues
- Problem solving skills
- National CPC Holder (Desirable)
- A high level of HR knowledge.
- Good PC skills
