IT Manager

Technology, IT & Digital Manager, Hampshire, GBP34 -38k, 36 days holiday + bank hols, 10% pension

Working for a large Students Union, within a University in Hampshire, you'll be in a joining in a new role heading up the Technology, IT and Digital offering for internal Union staff, website and for the student groups, activities & events.

This a Digital and Technology role, where you will be less of a traditional IT manager, and more improvement the digital and Technology capabilities. You'll manage a couple of in house developers who develop the website and internal systems, whilst providing technology and digital strategy in a senior management capacity.

You'd have to enjoy working in a varied role, where you can be engaging with students, staff and other stakeholders. You'll manage suppliers/vendors and enjoy some project management and deployments. The university manage most of the hardware, and you'll form a great working relationship with the IT department, to increase the offering for the Union staff and student groups.

You won't shy away from being hands on when needed and every day will give you something different! If you've always had innovate ideas you've wanted to run with, here's a place that can offer you the chance to.

Experience wise, you'd need some IT support & project experience, enjoy AV/IT, website improvements and have an interest to have operational management and development of a technology/IT/Digital function.

There's a fairly flexible approach and you'll probably be 50% on site/50% work from home; you'll work where it makes to work from.
