Three Rivers District in Southwest Hertfordshire straddles the northwest corner of the M25 on the edge of Greater London. The district is a mixture of beautiful countryside, villages, and small towns. The area has a diverse range of sectors and businesses and is a centre for the film industry with Warner Brothers at Leavesden forming part of a studio cluster along with Elstree and Pinewood is a short drive away.

Three Rivers District Council is looking for a Health Inequalities Officer to join us on a fixed term contract for 8 months.
The Department
The role is based in the Community Partnerships team in the Chief Executives Department. The team covers a wide range of services including Climate Change, Public Health, Anti-Social Behaviour, the Local Strategic Partnership, Community Safety Partnership, Corporate Support and Community Development work.
The Role
As Health Inequalities Officer you will lead on the development and implementation of Locality Vaccine Equity Strategy. This role will help to coordinate work across the area with all partners to ensure the outputs and outcomes are captured.
The role will manage a team of Community Engagement Officers who will support the development and delivery of life changing and lifesaving health and wellbeing messages and activities that bring about behaviour and lifestyle changes that have long term positive outcomes for our diverse community. Initial focus of this role will be on the Covid-19 pandemic.
What we are looking for
You will need excellent communication skills, written abilities and organisation skills. We are looking for experience with managing a team, working with different organisations to develop and implement strategy to tackle issues identified and developing projects and delivering events.
The role will be part of a team covering a broad range of areas so we are looking for someone who can work well with others, provide leadership and able to priorities workload. The role holder will also be someone who is adaptable and able to use practical skills for researching and collecting data or information.
