Job Title: Senior Research Associate - Conjugation kits and accessories (12-month FTC) Location: Cambridge About the role Abcam, a rapidly expanding bioscience organisation, are looking for a Senior Research Associate to join our first-class In-House Manufacturing team for a fixed term 12-month contract. You will support the manufacture and assembly of products across the conjugation and accessories portfolio. This is a very exciting opportunity for someone to have an immediate and positive impact within the team and ultimately support researchers and scientists across the world to discover more faster! Roles & Responsibilities: Carry out the manufacture and QC of our conjugation and accessories portfolio in line with production schedules with minimal direction and supervision Prepare and execute SOPs Independently conduct troubleshooting activities and contribute towards process optimisation initiatives with operational excellence in mind. Perform analysis according to established protocols Develop effective relationships across a variety of different teams within Abcam Ensure compliance with Quality policies, SOPs and Health and Safety procedures Contribute to the housekeeping tasks within the relevant Lab areas. About you Our ideal candidate will be a team player, highly self-motivated, hardworking, have excellent organisational capabilities and deliver results consistently to a high-standard in a fast-paced environment. You will have a degree or equivalent in biological sciences and experience of working in laboratory production. You should have a flexible approach to work, being able to work autonomously as well as part of a team. The ability to work accurately and to follow both written and verbal instructions whilst maintaining accurate and detailed records together with excellent communication skills are a must. Our ideal candidate will have an awareness of working to strict timelines and demanding quality standards. Prior experience in either colloidal gold manufacture, antibody conjugation or standard binding assays such as ELISA and Lateral Flow is desirable, although not essential as full training will be provided.
