Production Manager

DS Smith is seeking a high performing Production Manager to be responsible for leading, managing, motivating and developing the Production Team at our site in Belper. As Production Manager you'll take full accountability for the effective running of the Production function with a goal of further developing a customer focused, continuous improvement culture.

With a commitment to driving manufacturing excellence in all operational areas - specifically health and safety, quality and productivity and process improvement - you'll deliver significant improvements through the utilisation of leading edge manufacturing tools and techniques.

Ensuring the effective day-to-day running of the Production function you'll work closely with the Engineering Manager to ensure asset reliability is delivered to planned maintenance schedules and operator care standards. Other responsibilities include KPI monitoring and reporting, Safety, OTIF, waste, quality, complaints and DPPM analysis.

About you

Minimum requirements:

?? Experience of managing teams in a manufacturing environment

?? Proven track record in improving productivity within an advanced, team based, continuous improvement manufacturing culture

?? Strong understanding of lean process and experience in lean manufacturing environments

?? Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead, inspire and develop teams

?? Knowledge and experience of Operational Management

Preferred requirements:

?? Experience of corrugated conversion factories

?? Degree educated
