An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a world leading global organisation. Our client, a blue-chip IT company, is currently seeking an Junior Category Manager based on their customer site in Reading This is a part-time temporary role for 2 years with possible extension, 37.5-hour week to start ASAP. The role is paying GBP13.72 per hour.

Responsibilities:

Junior Category Management: 4P responsibility of the Entry/Educational product portfolio
End to end management of the promotional pricing tool including deployment and in-depth tracking
Communicates project status, process standards and changes, and issues and workarounds, clearly and succinctly to the Category Management team.
Owns the research and data analysis for moderately complex projects designed to support the entire Category team
Represents the needs of the business during process improvement projects.
Collaborates with business stakeholders including Sales, Category and Operations teams to support business growth
Utilizes standard project management and quality improvement methodologies as appropriate.
Applies intermediate level of subject matter knowledge to solve a variety of common business issues relating to the Business Personal Systems category
Works on problems of moderately complex scope and as the key contact to provide support to the Category Managers
Acts as an informed team member providing analysis of information and limited project direction input
Exercises independent judgment within defined practices and procedures to determine appropriate action
Follows established guidelines and processes on critic category related procedures
Evaluates unique circumstances and makes recommendations.

Education and Experience Required:

First-level university degree or equivalent experience.

Knowledge and Skills:

Broad knowledge of operational processes.
Intermediate understanding of core businesses and the revenue cycle.
Solid communication skills (i.e. written, verbal, presentation)
Expert level excel skills with an ability to use it as a tool to solve complex analysis
Sound knowledge and experience in process area and able to suggest process improvements.
