Salary: GBP45,000 - GBP50,000 (FTE)

Location: Between Bristol and Bath

Reporting to: Director

Hours: Part time (22.5hrs/wk)

Our client is a fast-growing tax & business consultancy located around 15 miles south of Bristol. They are looking to appoint a proactive and technically strong Compliance Manager to manage all aspect of the corporate compliance department.

Job Description

This is an exciting role for a diligent individual who enjoys working in a small, friendly team environment.

Specifically, the role will include:

• Preparing statutory accounts under FRS105 and FRS102a;
• Preparing corporation tax returns;
• Liaising with clients to request information and explain advisory positions;
• Director remuneration planning;
• Managing new enquiries and conducting initial call or meeting;
• Liaising with other departments for more complex tax planning matters;
• Staying technically up to date with accounting standards.

The Successful Applicant

You will be a technically strong, ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with practice experience.

You will be happy to demonstrate:

• Confidence to communicate effectively with clients and the team;
• Experience using Excel, Word and Outlook;
• Strong numeracy and written communication skills.

You will be at an advantage if you can demonstrate:

• Experience of preparing VAT returns and payroll;
• Experience using Xero, VT and TaxCalc.
