Build a high-profile brand.

For a school with countless unique selling points.

Bethany isn’t just another school: it’s a registered charity and unique educational establishment with a history stretching back to 1868. Occupying 60 acres of the magnificent Weald in the heart of the Kent countryside, we give 330 boys and girls aged 11 to 18 – both day students and boarders –
everything they need to become the best they can.

In 2020, 97% of our pupils gained 9-4 grades at GCSE and 100% passed  their A levels. But we’re not just about exam results – we believe it’s vital that young people are happy as well as successful. Our success speaks for itself: we’re one of the few schools in the country to have gained the coveted Wellbeing Award. Another thing that sets us apart is our Christian foundation, which underpins our exceptional levels of pastoral care and our strong community life. In short, we’re unique – and we want you to ensure everyone knows what sets us apart.

Shaping the strategic direction of the school, you will implement innovative campaigns to recruit students from across the United Kingdom and around the world. In particular, you will ensure that our marketing budget is deployed to its fullest effect and that we use research to achieve valuable insights, and will take ownership of press relations activity, giving you a very high profile.

Needless to say, we’re looking for the best: an experienced marketing professional with an extremely organised yet highly creative mindset. If you’re familiar with educational marketing, so much the better, and a formal qualification would be a significant advantage alongside deep understanding of social media and CRM systems. However, it’s more important that you’re
passionate about moulding our future, flexible regarding hours and international travel, and happy to be the public face of Bethany at a wide range of events and forums.

In return, we offer you a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits such as a pension scheme, Benenden Health Care, free meals during terms and more. We’ll also give you the chance to make your mark on a unique community – and the opportunity to realise your full potential. A term time
only role could be offered to the right candidate.

Any initial enquires regarding the role, please feel free to contact Dan Shaw Marketing Governor at recruitment@bethanyschool.org.uk
