Our client has a permanent vacancy for a Distribution Co-Ordinator to join their well established and well respected company. This role is working full time, Monday to Friday, 8am till 5pm. The role will provide support to the Depot Supervisor, by assisting with all the activities and other duties and tasks required to support the Depot Support Staff team and other business needs.

They are looking for an individual with previous experience within a dedicated administration and/or supervisory role with the ability to deputise for the Depot Supervisor when required to.

The role

Depot Support Staff

* Assisting the Depot Supervisor with the daily supervision of Depot Support Staff including Delivery Drivers and Storekeeper (included monitoring driver hours, digi card and tachograph downloads and overtime) and assuming the responsibilities of the Depot Supervisor in their absence.

Customer Service

* Answering phones.

* Dealing with visitors to the depot including customers collecting product.

* Dealing with customer and colleague enquiries.

* Taking customer orders by phone and email.

* Dealing with customers in a calm, polite and friendly way and being as helpful as possible.

Administration

* Entering customer orders and return requests into the IFS system.

* In cooperation with the Depot Supervisor organizing deliveries into loads and following the process through picking to dispatching of loads.

* Checking paperwork returned from drivers and confirming delivery.

* Booking in stock received from suppliers or other depots.

* Dealing with any anomalies in deliveries or receipts.

* Working with the Depot Supervisor and Storekeeper to investigate and correct any stock differences.

* Filing completed paperwork.

* Following the company processes and procedures to make sure that transactions are processed efficiently and accurately.

* General administration tasks.

* Upholding company processes, procedures and values paying particular attention to the 'Delivery Drivers and Depot Staff Performance Standards' document attached.

* You will take your part in ensuring the Company Health and Safety Policy is followed.

The person

You will need to have good coordination skills, be a real team player and the ability to build and develop sound business relationships.

Previous experience in a similar role would be advantageous, along with handling different types of data and producing reports.
