Trees for Climate Project Officers
We seek two enthusiastic and experienced individuals to help us deliver the new and exciting Trees for Climate programme for the City of Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
A £640 million Nature for Climate fund was set up in 2020 to help deliver the government's commitment to increase tree planting to 30,000 hectares per year across the UK by 2025.
You will be working closely with the HEYwoods Manager (the Community Forest Partnership for Hull and the East Riding) to promote tree planting with public and private sector partners and create new woodland that meets the objectives of the Trees for Climate programme.
- Have relevant qualifications and experience
- Be a team player
- Understand woodland management theory and practice
- Be able to demonstrate excellent project management skills
- Have strong communication skills

The Government have committed funding for five years for the Trees for Climate Programme and these 12-month fixed term posts could be extended dependent on future funding being secured.
