Rock Solid Processing Limited is a fast-growing Anglo/Dutch company involved in the recovery of metals and aggregates from the Incinerator Bottom Ash (IBA) industry across Europe, currently processing around 800,000 tons of IBA material annually. Position Offered: Due to the expansion of the UK business, Rock Solid are now looking for an Aggregate Sales Manager South of England, with experience and current knowledge of the UK aggregate and secondary aggregate market, to promote and retail recycled IBAA aggregates from their Southern based operations. The successful candidate would be required to sell and market IBAA aggregates for both bound and unbound application within the UK construction industry, plus assist the UK Operations Manager with any other administrative duties required by the operation. In the role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the Southern UK market, but will be required to work together with the UK Operations Manager and Aggregates Sales Manager (North), and report to the UK General Manager. Technical back-up and support will be provided direct from The Netherlands.
Experience: A background of sales and marketing within the aggregate market is essential, including the ability and confidence to initiate new business contacts, coupled with a good technical understanding of the material needs and requirements of major construction companies.
Sound knowledge of the use of aggregates within road construction, concrete, cement, pipe bedding, block making, sub-base and construction platform applications would be most desirable.
Must have a proven sales track record, good administrative skills, and proven evidence of achievements.
Min 2 years Field Sales Experience/Record of Achievement within Aggregate Sales (Essential).
Understanding of the UK Aggregate and Construction Markets and Associated Products (Essential).
Must be prepared to travel and stay away when required by the business (Essential).
IT literate Word/Exel/Powerpoint and be able to manage social media advantageously (Essential).
Knowledge of the relevant SEPA and EA regulations pertaining to IBAA reuse inc SEPA Position statement “Use of IBAA” and EA guidance “Using unbound IBAA in construction activities: RPS247” (Preferred not essential).
Ability to work under pressure in a competitive sales environment.
Experience and knowledge of organizing and arranging haulage.
Able to work to targets and achieve sales goals.
Good telephone manner and customer service skills.
Full, clean UK driving license (max 3 points)
QHSE - Rock Solid operate an Integrated Management System (IMS) to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification standards and any successful applicant will be required to implement IMS requirements related to the role to support Rock Solid’s achievement of quality, health safety and environmental objectives’ or similar.
Aggregate Sales Manager Job Description: As part of the total recovery process that Rock Solid provides to customers, the recovery and onward sale of IBAA (Recycled Aggregates) is a large and important part of that business model. As part of their commitment to a 100% total recycling solution for the clients, Rock Solids Aggregate Sales Manager will take responsibility for introducing and selling Rock Solid’s recycled IBAA aggregates into the UK market.
This will require the establishment and maintenance of a database of potential clients and customers for the aggregates, the ability to initiate and canvass new business with confidence, the skills to venture out into the market and source/create new opportunities, the knowledge and skills to sell Rock Solid IBAA aggregates and the nature and personality to build long-standing relationships and become an integral part of the pro-active Rock Solid UK team.
