Role; Recruitment & HR Officer

Contract; Temporary initially (potential of permanent)

Location; Trafford Park

Hours; 38 Hours Monday to Friday

Recruitment; (70% of role)

Responsible for the end-to-end recruitment process, which includes but is not limited to the following:

Liaising with managers on a diverse range of recruitment requirements, assisting with creating job descriptions and putting together recruitment advertisements.
Improving the effectiveness and successfulness of the overall recruitment process.
Advertising positions using most efficient and cost effective recruitment methods. This will involve dealing with recruitment agencies but also expanding the business' use of job boards and other methods such as LinkedIn and social media
Shortlisting of CV's prior to the submission to management.
Organising and attending recruitment interviews and presentations with the view of coaching and developing hiring managers to improve their interviewing and selection skills backed up by an improved hiring success rate.
Providing feedback to unsuccessful candidates.
Making job offers.
Administering recruitment tests such as behavioural analysis
Attending graduate recruitment fairs.
Organising and attending assessment centres.
Working with Managers to implement and continually improve the onboarding programme and experience, to ensure maximum effectiveness.
Ensure that relevant recruitment, selection and onboarding policies are up-to-date and replacement training is regularly undertaken. Including delivering unconscious bias training.
Design and implement an employee referral process, as well as visit local schools to promote engineering and give positive career advice.
Ensure we have an up-to-date library of job descriptions.
Reporting regularly on open positions, timescales and recruitment spend and headcount budget.
Analyse turnover and retention rates to forecast hiring needsHR (30% of role)

Employee Relations:
Attending first level investigations, disciplinary and grievance meetings.
Advising managers on most suitable actions to be taken.
Preparation of letters.
Dealing with flexible working requests.
Dealing with first level day-to-day employee relations matters and queries.
Assisting in the coordination of annual appraisals.
Absence Management:
Advising on actions short-term absence.
Attending return to work interviews when necessary.
Occupational Health referrals.
Other General Duties
Assisting with HR projects.
Other ad hoc HR duties and projects.
Advising managers on company policy's, procedures and best practice.

A minimum of 5 years' experience working within a HR Department or as a recruiter at a similar level - Essential
Experience of the full end-end recruitment cycle - Essential
CIPD Qualification - Ideal
