My client a global machinery manufacturer based in Norwich have a new ongoing temporary opportunity for a Stores Operative to join their stores team. This position is temporary on a monthly rolling basis

The successful candidate will have previous stores experience and a current valid counterbalance forklift license

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities of the Stores Operative shall include; but not be limited to the following:

Goods-In:
??Receipt and physical handling of parts/materials from suppliers.

??Ensure delivery paperwork reflects the goods physically received and that this is correctly transacted on the E1 System

??Ensure goods are checked at the time of delivery, on the E1 system, to see if they are a shortage against a corresponding Work or Sales Order.

??Fulfil shortages to Works and Sales Orders and move completed Works Orders to the designated Production Area in a timely manner.

??Locate and where appropriate, create a new suitable location, for items received to match space and existing stock matching.

??Administer all stock movements in E1.

??Control and report all defective materials.

??Investigate any order discrepancy as it is identified and correct this in the E1 system accordingly. Report such discrepancies to the Stores Team Leader.

Picking and Packing:
??Work Order picking to ensure that orders are picked on/before the required start date of the Works Order and processed correctly through the E1 system.
??Picking, packing of parts/products and preparation of documentation for all order types to prepare them ready for shipment worldwide to meet customer delivery requirements and in compliance with packaging standards.
??Liaise with the Export Team with respect to the status of orders for shipment.
Issuing of parts/products to picked Works Orders and transacting on the E1 System to ensure that stock and WIP levels are accurate.
??Create product work-to-lists for picking packing and stocking as required.
??Ensure parts/materials are presented to production in a manner that is suitable to begin the manufacturing process.
??Investigate any stock discrepancy as it is identified and correct this in the E1 system accordingly. Report such discrepancies to the Stores Team Leader.
??Generate shortage reports and attach to all Works Orders with shortages.??Liaise with Production and Stores personnel to ensure the correct issue code is used on bill of materials.
??Be vigilant of any lapses in quality, quantities or identification of product/parts being picked and/or packed.
??Ensure that Works Orders without shortages are promptly moved to the designated Production Area

General:
??Accurately complete all activities both physically and on E1, in a timely fashion.
??Ensure that stock is moved from/into the Central Stores with the correct documentation.
??Ensure that all items are stored in a suitable, safe manner in accordance with health and safety regulations.
??Ensure that all computer location records are accurately maintained.
??Ensure items are used on a first-in first-out (FIFO) basis wherever possible so as to ensure correct stock rotation.
??Report to the Stores Team Leader immediately, any stock quantities that are found to be in error.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a manufacturing stores/warehouse environment with knowledge of completing paperwork and maintaining a clean and tidy work environment
