GBP23,929.20 per annum

Do you have experience of mentoring and supporting young people? If so, our client has an excellent opportunity for a Youth Coach to join their dynamic team to coach young people aged 16-24 yrs to achieve their goals and work towards independent living.
Their Young people's Service offers supported accommodation in Enfield and Haringey. They work in an Advantage Thinking Model to enable young people to reach their potential. They are a diverse and vibrant team and are looking for a Youth Coach with the passion and energy to join them.
Our client is an established North London Housing Association, working across four boroughs - Enfield, Barnet, Haringey and Waltham Forest. Their purpose is to identify local needs, to respond to these needs with local solutions, and to provide excellent local services. They invest in high quality housing, support and services that are affordable and accessible to those in housing need.
Key responsibilities

Carry out initial risk assessments and develop support plans
*
Engage young people in education, employment and training and refer to their engagement team where appropriate.
*
Participate in workshops to support young people in their life skills development
*
Encourage young people to live a healthy lifestyle and encourage social activities.
*
Attend and facilitate House meetings with young people
*
Support young people to complete benefit claims and pay service charge in order to maintain their accommodation
Their ideal candidate
*
A proven track record of working with young people to coach and inspire them to achieve their goals.
*
Excellent organisational and administration skills and experience of creating SMART action plans.
*
A proven track record of working in a progressive way with young people so that they can develop the life skills necessary to thrive
*
Experience of working with safeguarding legislation and how it relates to working with young people and vulnerable adults.
*
Knowledge of the benefits system
*
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) and able to develop effective working relationships with clients
