Company Overview & Job Title:
Due to further growth and development a great new job opportunity has arisen for an Operations Manager to join a hugely successful and Global Engineering Specialist business, based in North Yorkshire to join the organization on a permanent basis.

Salary & working policy:
The salary on offer for the Operations Manager is GBP40,000 - GBP55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

The Ideal Operations Manager will work very closely with senior operations colleagues including the Operations Director, and will be accountable for supporting, overseeing, and handling the company's facility in North Yorkshire; allowing the organisation to continue building the operation whilst providing the staff and customers the attention they deserve.

Operations Manager key skills:

7-10+ years industry minimum experience
Ability to influence and motivate staff, setting expectations and leading by example
Calm under pressure - quick to make business decisions and change direction where necessary
Can demonstrate a strong understanding of discipline/performance management with a proven track record leading teams in production / manufacturing / warehouse and logistics setting
Ability to balance commercial and operational needs, aiding decision making that will improve customer and supplier relationships
High attention to detail and accuracy
Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative
Displays a positive, professional, and disciplined attitude
Ability to handle multiple workloads/balance of the operation and resource planning
Track record of project management from inception through to delivery
Experience in recruitment and the interviewing process
Adaptable to surroundings and people, being able to communicate confidently and concisely with all walks of life
Understanding of H&S and can balance this with commercial needs
Computer literacy - daily use of MS Word, Outlook & Excel
