Senior HR Consultant

This is an exciting and interesting role working in a close-knit team of experienced and professional senior HR Consultants providing HR Consultancy services to clients within the Asset Management Sector. Supporting clients in a broad range of HR functions, with a particular focus on employment law matters, contracts and settlement agreements, you will be confident in both knowledge and experience of providing UK Employment law advice and of making amendments to contract clauses. You may also have a strong HR Systems background and be comfortable advising in this key area. You will be experienced in managing complex employee relations cases with strong generalist knowledge and have a good background working with SME's or Consultancy within the financial services or at minimum, professional services, sectors. Working with this highly specialised and fast-moving sector, you will be extremely professional, thrive on communicating with confidence and enjoy building relationships.

Senior HR Consultant Responsibilities

As the Senior HR Consultant, some of your responsibilities will include:

• Writing employment contracts and making amendements as required

• Managing HR administration

• Implementing and maintaining HR software systems for clients

• Managing ER such as recruitment and terminations, performance management, grievances, disciplinaries and TUPE transfers

• Screening DBS checks and Health & Safety Risk assessments

Senior HR Consultant Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have strong all-round employment knowledge and the expertise to advise on employment law matters and contract renewals and amendments without the need to revert to legal support, except in the most serious of cases. You may also have HR Systems experience and the experience to advise clients on both systems and implementation. You will have a strong generalist background and it is desirable to also have exposure to Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Criminal Record checks. Financial services sector experience is preferred, and a key factor is SME experience in a professional services environment where you will have had exposure to the full employee lifecycle and employee relations/ HR matters and have a proven track record of successfully managing areas such as terminations, grievances and disciplinaries. You will enjoy talking to clients, both face to face and on the phone, developing relationships where they can build trust and rely on your support and you must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills.

Location

Our client is based in Reading. There is a requirement for 2 days per week in the office. Client meetings will generally be held in London.
