VMware Infrastructure Developer

We are seeking a VMware Infrastructure Developer to join JP Morgan on an initial 6 months contract in Bournemouth.

Global Technology Infrastructure (GTI) provides a centralized service to JPMorgan delivering infrastructure. Within GTI, Core and Hosting Infrastructure Platforms focus on delivering modern, distributed Infrastructure-as-a-Service (Iaas) capabilities to support the needs of business applications. The Infrastructure SRE build team is responsible for automating and delivering the platforms in support of GTI services, that revolve around VMware technologies. The focus is to achieve a comprehensive end-to-end delivery of components that are fully compliant and production ready.

Required skills

• Extensive VMware infrastructure development experience, particularly on deploying ESXi 6.5, 7.0 and products vROps, VRO, VCSA, and other virtual appliances.
• Python development experience, particularly on automating infrastructure deployments
• Good knowledge of deploying products using ansible and bitbucket.
• Experience of working in a large enterprise environment.
• Working knowledge of private cloud technologies would be beneficial.
• Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
• Strong organizational skills.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver to a tight deadline
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

This role allows for remote working within the uk with a requirement to come into the office 2 - 3 days per week once restrictions have been fully lifted.
