Credit Control Assistant

Michelle Denny Recruitment is looking for a collaborative Credit Control Assistant for a busy business on the outskirts of Ipswich. Working schedule is Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 5.00pm.

This initially is a fixed term contract for a minimum of a 3 months and carries a healthy salary, which we will discuss during our initial conversation.

You'll be giving much-needed support to both the Financial & Credit Controllers during a particularly demanding time, so if you like to be kept active, spinning lots of plates and you have solid credit control experience, this could suit.

Day-to-Day Duties:

Debt collection by calling and liaising with commercial customers, helping them with queries and setting up payment plans.
Administrative daily tasks to support Sales Ledger and Credit Control, including posting BACS, cheques and credit card receipts.
Allocating receipts accurately and efficiently.
Keeping Sales Administration up to date regarding the status of specific payments.
Liaising with other parts of the extended business to resolve queries.
Qualifications, Competences, Skills and Experience:

This position requires someone with solid commercial credit control experience
Good phone manner and professional writing skills
The ability to be flexible and resilient with a great attitude and customer service orientation
Someone who enjoys working alongside colleagues to collectively get the job done, solving problems as they arise
Competency in Word and Excel (but you don't need to be an expert!), with training where necessary
The organisation is a friendly and dedicated one, with a good team spirit.
