This is a new additional role in an innovative paid digital marketing agency that's going places. They have an increasing global spread of B2B clients, many in North America, who get great value by making sure that their paid Amazon advertising is in the right place, at the right time, pointing to the right audience - it's a niche with a lot of scope. This new role is to support the Head of Sales who is helping to grow this business at a rate of knots. You will be exposed to a lot of learning - It'll be a crash course in how sales and digital marketing work from a commercial agency perspective.

THE ROLE

You'll be working with the Head of Sales to help him grow the business. His job has developed in recent times and will keep doing so as the company gathers momentum, so you'll get caught up in the action. Be ready to jump in with both feet and enjoy the learning and become part of a success story.

You'll be tracking sales one moment, researching a new client the next, fielding sales enquiries, posting social media posts, testing email campaigns and getting creative on Canva. Blogs, newsletters, and in-house videos are needed - constantly.

If it's got anything to do with sales or marketing, you're likely to get involved - but you won't just be thrown in the pool and told to swim - you'll get training and support as you find your feet and gain skills and confidence. There is a pace about the place. You'll soon be able to keep up.

You'll also get technical sales and marketing training to ensure you develop your skills and make a strong contribution to a real team effort.

THE CANDIDATE

Not long out of university, probably with a sales or marketing-related degree, you could be bored with more administration activities than you were looking for and looking for somewhere with a bit more zip. You're a sponge and can soak up whatever comes your way. You're already learning you're capable of more than you're being given.

Your communications skills, formal and informal, written and verbal, will be the foundation of your development. You can express yourself with clarity and already understand content, tone and inflection needs to be sensitive to your audience.

You're ambitious for yourself, but also recognise that the team is also important. Because they've established themselves in a strong niche, the organisation will grow, and you with it. They'll be little time to wonder "If only???."

GEOGRAPHY

The offices are in Croydon.

SALARY

Starting annual basic salary will be in the region of GBP22k. There is a lot of scope for learning and personal (and career) development.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Martin Ellis at Recruitment South East will perform screening and initial interviews before candidates are selected for interview by the company. They'll be 2 interviews, firstly with the Operations Manager, then the main Director as well as completing a short online psychometric assessment. They'll also ask you to produce a 1-minute video under your own steam - nothing fancy - it's just a way to understand your communication skills
