The client is a well-established, independent, building services engineering consultancy / practice that provides design and advisory service to both the private and public sectors and employs creative enthusiastic engineers.

The Role
A position has become available for an Intermediate/Project Electrical Design Engineer.
You will be part of a team who prides itself on successfully delivering complex designs across a wide range of sectors and has the capabilities to deliver specialist services to meet the needs of projects. You will be collaborating working and learning with the industry's best. You'll advance your career and knowledge thanks to our structured approach.
As an Intermediate/Project Electrical Design Engineer you will potentially be involved in a range of projects from small site surveys through to multi-million-pound schemes, with a varied workload you will work individually either assisting the senior staff to deliver projects or discipline lead for smaller projects. Reporting to the project Senior Engineers, Associate or Director, you will provide support as part of a team in delivering projects effectively, whilst maintaining technical performance standards. As a key member of the team, you will be representing the client in all stages of our projects from feasibility through to completion across a wide variety of sectors, including healthcare, residential, education and commercial.
Other elements of the role consist of:
1. Able to produce detailed designs and drawings and can understand the different works stages.
2. Use the latest computer software - Revit / CAD, Dialux, Relux, Amtech, NBS, Word and Excel.
3. Able to undertake site surveys confidently.
4. Communicating directly with project teams, clients, or stakeholders, and attend collaborative meetings.
5. Take responsibility for design coordination with other disciplines and professionals.
6. Manage the discipline of a small project.
Requirements
Ideally a minimum of 2 to 5+ years' experience in engineering design and have relevant experience of working within the Building Services Industry.
* Ideally have a HND or Degree in either building services or electrical engineering.
* Member of a processional institution (IET / CIBSE) and is either working towards or has achieved IEng or CEng.
* Previous experience in a similar industry is an advantage.
* An understanding of CAD or similar modelling software is an advantage.
* Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills.
* Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
* A friendly, ambitious, and confident individual with a flexible and resilient approach.
