Salary: £55,500 - £60,000 per annum + extensive benefits package including Civil Service pension

Hello, we’re the Pension Protection Fund. We protect millions of people in the UK who belong to defined benefit pension schemes. Our members rely on us to look after their pensions if their employers collapse and the pension schemes cannot afford to pay what they promised.

We’re looking for a Senior IT Technical Engineer (EUC) to join our team.

As a critical and senior customer-facing member of a transforming Technology and Change directorate, you will raise, manage and resolve incidents for the PPF business, deal with service requests that range in complexity, perform full lifecycle management with tickets, support the management team and communicate effectively with business customers to deliver exceptional customer service.

We require an individual with significant technical experience in supporting Microsoft and Cloud technologies within a 2nd line / 3rd line (or 2.5 line) role in a service management function that is customer-service focussed.

You will have awareness of ITIL practices using your significant experience to provide high-level technical support for solutions across PPFs IT products and services, to issues that vary in technical complexity. We expect applicants to be technically proficient in Azure, SCCM, End Point Manager, Powershell, FTP, Line of Business Applications, Desktop and Infrastructure Diagnostic Tools and Infrastructure Security. Experience of conducting shift left activities and mentoring, as well as knowledge transfers to junior colleagues, would be desirable.

Sound like you? Apply now.

In return for your skills, experience and commitment we’ll give you a challenging role within a business where you’ll get the support you need to develop your career.

You’ll also get an outstanding rewards package which includes a discretionary bonus scheme, private medical insurance, health cash plan, critical illness insurance, holiday trading, volunteering leave and a choice of generous defined benefit or defined contribution pension scheme.

We’ll also give you lots of opportunities for personal development and skills training.

Our Croydon office is just across the road from East Croydon station, which is around 15 minutes from Victoria or London Bridge, 10 minutes from Clapham Junction or half an hour from St Pancras.

We are a Disability Confident Leader, the highest accreditation under the Disability Confident Scheme. If you have a disability and meet the essential criteria for this role you will be guaranteed an interview.

We embrace diverse talent welcoming people with different beliefs, backgrounds and ways of working, and we aim to create an environment in which everyone can be themselves.

We are a flexible organisation and welcome the opportunity to talk about what arrangements may work best for you.

No agencies please.
