GBR Recruitment are working in close partnership with a well established progressive commercial interior fit out / retail fit out company who are recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator who must have retail / commercial fit outs experience (not other sectors like new build houses etc)
This is a fantastic QS / Estimator opportunity to join a people centric business who believe in developing their employees further, as well as offering a fun vibrant working atmosphere.
Duties:
* Work closely with both sales, design and contracts teams in delivering commercial support and management including cost planning and estimating function;
* Measure and quantify labour, plant and materials as part of the estimating and delivery function;
* Provide commercial awareness and support to the interior fit out business;
* Negotiate and procure subcontract works packages;
* Formulate project interim and final accounts both upstream and downstream;
* Assist with carrying out site surveys and scoping fit out works brief;
* Visit sites to re-measure and agree subcontract accounts;
* Assist the business with reviewing contract documentation;
* Valuing and authorising subcontract and supplier invoices;
* Cash flow forecasting and cost value reconciliation reporting;
* Meet clients to understand a detailed project brief to allow tender and estimate to be prepared and presented;
* Ensure we meet all H&S standards / procedures both on site and in office;
* Ensure we meet all ISO Quality standards / procedures both on site and in office.
Experience, Skills & Qualifications:
* Time served Quantity Surveyor & / or Estimator (ideally both but both isn't essential) within Commercial Interior design & build solutions, Retail fit outs, Office fit outs, bars & banqueting suites fit outs, education sector building fit outs (colleges, universities) etc.
* Ideally HNC, HND or Degree qualified or time served in a comparable role is fine
* Strong negotiator / communicator with strong commercial acumen skills
* Happy to travel UK wide to clients sites as required to do so

This role is commutable from: North Lincolnshire, North Kesteven, South Kesteven, Central Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Corby, South Yorkshire, Sheffield, Cambridgeshire (Peterborough) & surrounding areas
