Accounts Clerk

Role Responsibilities

Joining the friendly and professional Finance Team, your responsibilities as an Accounts Clerk will include:

Resolving purchase ledger queries from suppliers and branch managers
Processing bank transfers/cheque payments for one-off payments
Processing foreign supplier payments
Processing big volume, multi-million-pound payments
Operating a bespoke bank reconciliation system (full system training given)
Monthly cashbook reconciliations and bank reconciliations
BACS payment allocations
General ledger journals
Query resolution
Various system maintenance
Related administrative dutiesSet office hours are 9-5pm Monday-Friday and overtime pay is available.

To be successful in this Accounts Clerk role, you should:

Have excellent communication skills
Have a minimum of 12 month's office experience
Ideally have experience in purchase ledger, book-keeping or banking
Ideally have experience working with multiple currencies
Be a proactive individual who is a good team player
Have good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
