Joining us as Sessional Lecturer, your focus will be to teach both HE and FE vocational courses related to computing, predominantly on vocational Level 3 and Level 4 programmes. The specific areas of computing are databases, analysis, spreadsheets and systems analysis. Offering other computing areas up to Level 5 would be an advantage.

Do you hold a relevant Degree or higher level academic qualification such as HND in an appropriate subject? Do you have knowledge of spreadsheets (up to Level 3) and the ability to create complex databases using MS Access (up to Level 4)? If so, then we’d love to hear from you!

We’re looking for an individual who is hardworking and flexible and who has knowledge and skills of both systems and database analysis. With high personal standards and expectations, you will have the ability to support, monitor and empathise with learners, including monitoring their progress, and have the ability to use new technologies to enhance teaching and learning to support students.

A teaching qualification is not essential – all that we ask is that you are willing to achieve one in line with current regulations. Experience of teaching systems and database analysis to Level 4 is desirable.

Closing date for the return of completed applications is 23rd August 2021
