My client are looking to hire graduate and junior - midlevel embedded software engineers skilled in embedded C, C++, Python.
If you have DSP or Embedded Linux skills this will also be an advantage !
Job purpose:
To specify, develop, review, test and maintain software for the hardware developed under the guidance of the Embedded Software Manager. Working with cutting edge LTE and 5G baseband solutions and target silicon including Texas Instruments and NXP multi-core processors (DSP + ARM) you will help our customers lead the field in wireless test and deployment.
Main duties and key responsibilities:
Design and develop embedded software (C) and python based scripts
Define and implement effective procedures for the design, development and testing of new software
Assist management with the successful running & administration of engineering projects
Progress items to required timescales so that overall project milestones are achieved
Maintain up to date electronic records of development and project administration activities
Working closely with the hardware design team, production team and customers on early and evolving hardware, your code will also be used to verify and test our products. Informing team members and management of timescales for various work/support/projects
Handling Customer Support queries on existing and legacy product whilst working on mainstream projects.
Identify and mitigate risks within the design and development process
Key Skills:
BEng in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering or related field
A passion for embedded software design
Able to program in C and C++ on embedded platforms
Knowledge of ARM, and associated embedded C
Experience with Perl, Python or another modern scripting language
