Levenseat are looking for an Accounts Assistant to join our team, this is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a future thinking, innovative company and a department that is critical to the success of the company.

We are a leading Scottish Resource Management company working with 50% of local authorities in Scotland and operating seven separate facilities, to recovery resource from waste, recycle, and generate renewable energy. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual to join the finance team.

Initially the role will be focused on Purchase ledger ensuring that all internal and external deadlines are managed and met. However, in the longer term we would like to see this person strive to become an assistant accountant within our organisation. We would therefore be happy to support further education whether that be a modern apprenticeship, ATT, CIMA, ACCA or any other recognised qualification.

This is an exciting role where you will be helping the business to hit financial goals, so would be suitable for someone with a 'can-do' attitude, that is able to integrate themselves within a fast-paced driven business, that thrives on a challenge.

This is a great chance to develop your skill set and work closely with the finance team and the Ledger Supervisor who you will be reporting to. Duties will include:

Process purchase invoices for the group
Ensure accurate coding
Perform supplier statement reconciliations and resolve any issues arising
Prepare payment runs in line with procedure
Review and resolve any issues on the Purchase ledger on a weekly basis
Review open PO and follow up with all stakeholders to follow up and close out PO's
