Our client, a family run enterprise, is looking for a Bookkeeper to join their Lowestoft based team on a part-time basis ASAP.
Company operates within heavy industry so the ideal candidate will need to be comfortable in a workshop environment.
AAT/ATT qualified or equivalent qualification would be a bonus but is not essential.
Profile:
* Knowledge of Quickbooks system is essential
* Individual familiar with complicated transactions; hire purchase, depreciation, journal entries, taxation, etc
* Ability to process and pay company expenditure
* Record, approve and/or deny client invoices
* Confident handling balance sheets, precise data entry and accounting.
Roles & Responsibilities:
* Weekly and monthly management reporting
* Bank & statement reconciliations
* Balance and maintain accurate ledgers
* Prepare and submit VAT Returns, Annual Returns, PAYE Tax
* Processing job sheets and ensuring calculations are correct
* Prepare and send invoices/credit notes to customers.
* Liaise with customers, as well as internal personnel within domestic and overseas offices.
* Maintain administrative systems and office supplies
* General office duties, including filing, postage, answering the phone and emails
* Due to the nature of the business other duties may apply subject to customer and company demands.
