We have fantastic opportunity for a Business Data Analyst - Data Governance to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. This role will be based at our Manchester office with some home working. Due to the current Pandemic this will be initially home based only.
The role is to support and develop the continuous improvement of Data Governance while protecting and realising the value of our data assets and investments across the Group. The Business Data Analyst will form part of the single Data Governance team created with a Centre of Excellence (CoE) model. The role may require travel, both within the UK and abroad, as necessary for the performance of the role.
What will you be doing?
Analysis of large amounts of information to discover trends and patterns
Triage, prioritisation and investigation of data issues raised with the team and the provision of expert advice on resolution
3rd Line Data Incident Support
Contribution to improved controls around data related Risks
Continuous Improvement of Data Governance in relation to both Business as Usual and Project/Initiative activities
Identify valuable data sources and automate ingestion processes
Undertake pre-processing of structured and unstructured data
Maintenance of supplier and stakeholder relationships
Managing and agreeing any changes to the rules identifying structured and unstructured data requiring action under the existing Policies, Regulation and Legislation.
Is this you?
Strong SQL SSMS Analysis and Development skills, Python advantageous
Significant experience and expertise of data and information quality management
A logical and analytical approach to problem solving
Understanding of the legal framework that regulates the processing of personal data
Experience in managing key stakeholders and building business relationships
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Expert Microsoft Office skills, particularly MS Excel
