We have an exciting opportunity for several Analysts to joins us. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team that plays a key role in the business. This role will be based at our Manchester office with some home working. Due to the current Pandemic this will be initially home based only.
This role sits within the Asset Management and Data Science team, and whose areas of responsibility include supporting clients through advanced analytics, data science, operational science, Business Information, and statistical modelling.
What will you be doing?
Engage with stakeholders to understand business challenges or opportunities which may be achieved through data-driven strategies, BI, or implementation of data science pipelines
Carry out exploratory analysis to develop an understanding of different challenges and solutions and use datasets and resources to provide insight and automated solutions to challenges
Develop, test, and validate simple models/analysis to answer key business questions independently
Work as part of a team to contribute to larger projects
Document and present work to key stakeholders
Support wider analytics functions with insight around behaviour to inform strategic decision making.
Is this you?
Educated to degree level - degree in a quantitative field e.g. data science/computer science/maths/statistics/physics/computer science/economics/operational research or relevant experience
Knowledge or interest in common statistical methods, statistical modelling, machine learning, computer science, data science
Problem solving and investigative/diagnostic skills
Hands on experience in some of the following would be beneficial - R, Python, SQL, DataBricks, Spark, Scala, working with Azure, PowerBI, Excel and office suite of products
Strong communication skills at all levels, and the ability to communicate complex information in a simplified manner for non-technical stakeholders
Confident to work in a high-pressure environment
Interpersonal skills/good team player
Innovative, ability to identify and suggest new ways of working.
