Axon Moore are exclusively partnering vibrant and growing business based in North Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established and successful brand who are looking to bring in a dynamic, nearly qualified accountant. This role will provide the opportunity to be mentored by a high calibre Financial Controller within a hands-on environment, looking after one junior member of staff.
Working closely with the FD and FC, the role will see someone develop through to Qualified status and continue to add value to the small team and growing business. I am looking for someone hungry to learn and develop, add value in the role and be keen to gain more exposure within finance.
Key Responsibilities
Completing journal entries, invoice processing and expenses using Sage 50,
Preparation of monthly Management Accounts, presenting to CFO and FC with observation and commentary.
P&L accounts including variance analysis and commentaries
Balance sheet reconciliations
Annual budgeting, monthly forecasting and cash flow forecasting
Reviewing quarterly VAT returns
Stakeholder Management - Accountants, Lawyers, Banks
Assisting the FC with the annual audit, preparing audit workings papers.
Assisting the FC with all aspects accounting, filing, reporting and tax overseas
Managing the cash process, posting entries and reviewing payments in multi-currencies.
Monthly Commission Calculations
Reviewing junior staff members work and mentoring junior staff.
Overview of Credit Control
Preparing weekly investor reporting
Person Specification
2-3 years in management accounts experience
Active CIMA, ACCA, ACA studier in final stages
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Flexible and adaptable to achieve needs of the team and business
Motivated to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication skills - able to communicate with non-financial people
