We're currently seeking a Leamington Spa-based Business Engagement Manager to work within a state of the art, high throughput diagnostics laboratory environment as part of the UK's NHS Test and Trace programme. Business Engagement Manager will support the opening of the Leamington Spa site, developing and implementing an ongoing and local internal communication and engagement programme working closely with the NHS T&T internal communications team.

Business engagement and communications

Liaising with the relevant T&T and other divisional internal communications contacts and Leamington Spa HR colleagues to:

develop and agree an internal staff engagement and communications plan for the Leamington Spa lab aligned to T&T
Mobilise an ongoing internal communications and engagement programme for employees (including all staff briefings), leveraging the approaches and channels in NHS Test and Trace and creating new activity to meet the needs and demographics of the different internal stakeholder groups in the laboratory
Contribute to the development of the Staff Value Proposition (SVP) ensuring that internal communications aligns to this and fits with the laboratory working model
Set up feedback mechanisms (eg Qualtrics/focus groups etc..)
Support HR driven initiatives for example relating to vision, values, recognition initiatives, performance management, career development, wellbeing and, working with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager, on community projects
Manage the People Survey and other staff surveys

Produce internal comms materials that are relevant to the lab and cascade them locally, using the Test and Trace approved templates, aligning with Test and Trace and liaising close with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager.- also liaising with NHS T&T internal comms team, to share good news, best practice and identifying content relevant for a national colleague audienceIs
Contribute to and ensure consistency across the normal employee engagement touchpoints; including onboarding, training and wellbeing

Design and implement a programme of communications for pipeline candidates taking into account pipeline demographics.
Set up and manage the Laboratory's area of the Hub - Test and Trace intranet, including co-ordination of community areas on the site and generating content to celebrate laboratory successes, liaising with the Stakeholder Engagement Manager and T&T Internal Comms to share these
Support and advise the SLT and line managers on engagement and communications activity
Attend Testing and T&T internal communications meetings where appropriate
Use a variety of media appropriately, for example webinars, internal newsletters, ad hoc communications, to reinforce engagement and communication at all levels
Support the Stakeholder Engagement Manager during peak activity and provide cover during periods of absence

Confidently oversee and implement internal stakeholder engagementstrategies, assessing the risks and benefits of different approaches, including presenting insight and advice to the Senior Leadership Team and other stakeholders
Ability to use organisational insight to advise senior leaders on relevant and targeted employee communication strategies
Ability to influence senior leaders providing recommendations on communicating the business agenda externally.
Multi media content creation
Proven ability to manage internal communications events from an operational hands-on perspective
Use insight and evaluation for business advantage

Experience of facilitating effective internal comms with hard to reach, non-desk-based colleagues
Audience-focused and mindful of diverse stakeholder demographics
Skills and Experience

Excellent networker with proven experience of establishing and developing external networks across a wide range of stakeholders
Excellent interpersonal/communication skills to include presentations and media work
Ability to work on their own and as part of a team as the role requires
Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively
Resilient and able to work under pressure
Attention to detail
Experience of working in the public sector desirable
Desirable - design skills, e.g. presentations, posters, and infographics
