THE OPPORTUNITY:
Get Recruited is proud to be partnered with a rapidly expanding and highly reputable Accountancy Practice. They're looking to hire a number of experienced Assistant Accountants to join a busy Accountancy Practice in the Stockport area. As the Assistant Accountant you'll have experience working in a Chartered Accounts firm and currently ACA / ACCA qualified. Reporting into the team lead the Assistant Accountant will be responsible for.
ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT RESPONSIBILITIES:
To ensure that jobs are completed to the highest standard, within the agreed internal budget for the job and to discuss all material points with the Manager / Client / Partner
To plan assignments in accordance with the firm's standard procedures and confirm arrangements with the client, including likely costs and billing arrangements
Train clients on their accounts systems
Monitoring customer accounts: debt management & credit control
Prepare Year End Accounts / Quarterly VAT returns
Assist in the production of monthly accounts and reports including fixed assets register, aged creditors, balance sheet, P&L
Company Audits, Charity Audits and Pension Scheme Audits
Accounts Preparation, both for unincorporated and incorporated entities
Corporation tax computations
Preparation of management accountsKEY EXPERIENCE:
ACA / ACCA Qualified
Competent with MS Excel
Good understanding of UK Financial reporting requirements
Xero, Sage or QuickBooks Accountancy Software (advantageous)
3 years' Experience in working in an Accountancy Practice as an Assistant Accountant / Client AccountantFOR THIS YOU WILL RECEIVE A COMPETITIVE SALARY OF UP TO GBP30,000 BASE + BENEFITS
