Butchery Academy / Production Operatives - Scunthorpe - Ongoing work
The Gi Group On-site team are currently recruiting for a skilled role in a Food Production environment.
The Butchery Academy here is a 3 week course that aims to teach all the the key butchery skills that are required at this site, whilst this is not a recognised qualification, it does teach some unique skills that allow you to achieve a higher basic pay ray whilst working with us.
For all applicants that start on the academy, the basic rate of pay is GBP9.50, which you will stay on once you have completed the course. Following regular assessments, most people who have completed the academy quickly achieve the status of Master Filleter which comes with an increased pay rate of GBP10.00 for as long as you maintain those quality standards.
The Butchery Academy takes on new starters every 3 weeks, however if you are interested but want to start sooner, we can bring you in as a General Operative on GBP9.12 until the next academy start date and then move you across.
Inductions and starts available this week. On-going, regular work. No waiting for calls to confirm shifts are available.
Week 1: 6am to 2pm - Monday to Friday and 6am - 6pm on Saturday
Week 2: 2pm to 10pm - Monday to Friday
All pay rates increase after 12 weeks service and there is plenty of overtime available.
There is also the opportunity for permanent work with our client for those who have performed well during their first 12 weeks.
Food Production Operatives work in a chilled food environment, working with raw meat products and must be able to follow site procedures and Food Safety regulations.
