Software Support Developer, Poole, GBP49,500 package
The purpose of this job:
As the Software Support Developer, you'll be a key member of the team providing vital software support, working with both modern programming languages (using C# and .Net) and techniques as well as a legacy codebase. You will be instrumental in the investigation and proposal of solutions to product defects. The role will enjoy exposure to different teams within the company, ensuring communication is efficiently transferred through to the development team.
Your responsibilities as the Software Support Developer will include:
Working closely with support and product development teams to investigate and provide solutions to critical software issues
Maximising opportunities to resolve common customer issues
Reviewing code (C# and .Net framework) created by other members of the development team, ensuring it is tested both manually and automatically and does not contain any defects
Working with the Quality Assurance team to make sure features and faults match subsequent test scenarios
Exploring and understanding development techniques and new technologies to help improve delivery & quality and contribute to the product development road-map You will:
Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or hold equivalent experience
Be experienced with C# and Microsoft .Net frameworks, as well as SQL
Have a strong ability to troubleshoot front-end and server/back-end side related issues
Be passionate about creating and maintaining quality software
Be an effective communicator across all areas of the business and have excellent problem solving skillsYour new employer:
