Prestige Recruitment Specialists are delighted to be working with our client, that has it's roots deep in Lancashire, but has businesses nationwide, for the role of Butchery Manager.
The Role:
* Producing meat for sale including bone out carcasses with good cutting standards
* Ensuring that all food safety and health and safety regulations are met within the butchery department
* Cleaning and maintaining tools and equipment
* Weighing, packaging, pricing, and displaying products
* Keeping records, budgets, and inventory
* Performing quality inspections on meats and other products
* Greeting and speaking to customers, providing advice, answering questions, and accepting orders or payments
* Coordinating deliveries or order pickups
* Developing the sales and profit
* Controlling waste
About You:
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Product knowledge is essential
* Be helpful and friendly and feel comfortable working with the public
* To be enthusiastic, committed and self motivated
* Adopts a 'can do' attitude to challenging situations
* To be able to work as part of a team
* Have a flexible approach to working hours
* To be able to work as part of a team but also to use their own initiative
* Basic food hygiene certificate
* Thorough knowledge of HACCUPS
* A minimum of 3 - 4 years proven experience in a butchery environment
