KCR are delighted to be recruiting an Outsourcing Manager for an excellent dynamic client based in Newcastle. This fantastic opportunity will suit an ACCA/ACA qualified candidate and is for an initial 12-month contract. Ideally the successful applicant will be currently working within practice or will have previous experience of that sector. The successful candidate will take a lead role in accountability for the delivery of services and be responsible and accountable for the development of client relationships.
Main responsibilities will include:
- Manage a team of accounting staff (from purchase ledger to qualified level)
- Schedule, supervise and review work of the team to ensure appropriate standards are met
- Measure and improve efficiencies
- Ensure effective controls are in place to ensure compliance with Tax and Accounting policies and procedures
- Understand and enable the team to prepare accurate management accounts, adding value wherever possible
- Ensure client deadlines & expectations are met or exceeded (client focus, managing self and others, goals/results focus)
- High quality service provided to all clients
- Control and monitor performance of the team against set targets and procedures so that client expectations are met or exceeded
- Coach and develop team on an ongoing basis, identifying individual's strengths and development areas
- Conduct appropriate reviews and appraisals of team members
- Hold team meetings and positively contribute to team manager meetings with the aim of enhancing performance of the team
- Identify solutions to any problems that arise and working with others to put these solutions into practice
- Display a good working knowledge of all relevant software packages (e.g. Netsuite, NAV, Sage, Excel, Word, and Outlook)
Main personal and professional qualities:
- Ideally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with post qualification experience and strong technical and management skills
- Motivated to provide the highest quality service to clients through effective management of the team
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to liaise with people at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively for self and other members of the team
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
- Strong people management skills
- Strong client relationship building skills, including the ability to identify new service opportunities
- Good presentation and client meeting skills
- Strong IT skills, experienced in computerised accounts production and intermediate/advanced Microsoft Excel skills
