Housekeeping Manager

Clare Hall, a college for advanced study in the University of Cambridge, is seeking to appoint a Housekeeping Manager with responsibility for the provision of cost effective and efficient domestic services for our accommodation.

The ideal candidate will be a highly organised, methodical and systematic worker who is able to demonstrate excellent communication skills.  The successful candidate will need to be able to develop procedures, work schedules and maintain inventories for complex accommodation, which currently comprises 13 shared student properties, and a number of separate flats for use by College members of various status. The successful applicant will be perfectly placed to support the Domestic Bursar as one of the College’s ANUK representatives, and is expected to undertake the necessary (online) training to fulfil this position.

Ensuring that our high standards are maintained in all of our premises will be a key function of the job and you will be required to regularly carry out inspections of the premises. Experience of working in and leading a small team in a facilities management environment is essential. We will provide training in health and safety management where required, but an understanding of risk assessing and managing safety at work is desirable.
