Tradewind are recruiting! Are you a Teacher of SEN with experience and confidence of Teaching students with PMLD?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently looking for an experienced SEN teacher to work at a special needs school in Calne and to teach primary students at varying levels to pupils with PMLD & SLD on a part-time basis from September 2021 until January 2021. The role is Monday to Wednesdays and will start immediately in September 2021. This established SEN school requires the right candidate to work with children and young people who have complex learning difficulties in addition to a physical disability and / or sensory impairment so they can maximise their potential in all areas of their learning. The teacher will have responsibility for a small group and will provide a sensory programme, integrating the physical, academic, social and emotional needs of individual students.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

* Knowledge and understanding of the needs of pupils with PMLD

* The ability to support the raising of standards for these pupils through curriculum development

* The ability to keep accurate records and use data from these records to analyse trends and improve quality of teaching

* The ability to work effectively within a team

School is within easy reach of public transport from Emersons Green, Keynsham, Kingswood and Bath as well as being accessible with car from other parts of Bristol.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Have experience and confidence of working with young people with physical disabilities and the ability to deliver engaging lessons. You will need a QTS/QTLS.

You must have SEN teaching experience ideally in a SEN setting.

This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks

Your CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible and any employment breaks must be explained

You must have the legal right to work in the UK
