About the role:

Our client is currently seeking a Financial Analyst to act as a key member of their financial planning and treasury team to produce the 30 year Grand Union business plan and lead on the ongoing review and monitoring of capital funding requirements.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing the consolidated 30 year business plan together with related analysis
  • Undertaking annual stress test scenario modelling of the business plan
  • Producing the quarterly update of the business plan, aligning the actual performance, updated financial forecasts and agreed forward projections 
  • Providing an effective financial planning service to the wider business to support corporate projects and plans
  • Providing constructive challenge to improve accuracy and understanding of finances and forecasts

What they’re looking for:

  • Accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Experience of manipulating data from various sources
  • Ability to collate, analyse and report on complex statistical data
  • Ability to manage the development and maintenance of performance monitoring systems
  • Excellent IT skills (Excel, Word, Access and SQL)
  • Organised with the ability to prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Analytical, methodical and logical approach
  • Ability to explain complex financial information to non-financial professionals
